PDF SEWING PATTERN + INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE THIS GARMENT

The Irati trousers feature a clean, timeless design with front pleats, concealed side pockets and a wide, straight leg.

The structured waistband with belt loops and a button and zip fly gives them a tailored, versatile finish, making them ideal for both formal and casual looks.

This downloadable sewing pattern includes thoughtful details and professional finishes: side pockets integrated into the side seams, a fly facing, a waistband finished on the inside with bias binding, and overlocked interior seams.

Difficulty level: Intermediate

This pattern allows you to make two versions:

A: Full-length trousers with wide legs.

B: A shorter, lighter Bermuda version, perfect for warmer months.

IDEAL FABRICS

For the Irati trousers, we recommend lightweight to medium-weight fabrics with good drape, allowing for movement and creating an elegant silhouette.

Ideal options include wool blends, linen and linen-viscose blends, which provide natural structure without feeling stiff. Fabrics with a naturally fluid drape, such as Tencel, cupro or crepe, also work beautifully for a more sophisticated finish with a soft, flowing silhouette.

For a more casual or urban look, you can opt for materials such as lightweight twill, lightweight gabardine or lightweight denim. These create a more relaxed feel while maintaining the design’s clean, timeless lines.
